Challenge

When the Group began its international expansion in 2016, it faced two major B2B challenges. First, it needed to efficiently equip new stores with essential fixtures and decor amidst significant logistical and regulatory hurdles. The Group enlisted Logfret, leveraging their 30 years of expertise in international markets. Second, the stores required consistent replenishment of textiles and other products while navigating complex customs regulations and adapting to limited storage capacities at each location.

Solution

To support the Group’s international expansion, Logfret provided specialized customs guidance and managed an extensive initial supply plan for the boutiques, followed by regular restocking adapted to the limited space available. Initially, over 30 pallets were delivered each weekend to multiple boutiques, ensuring comprehensive stock availability. This was followed by weekly replenishments tailored to the needs of stores as new locations opened around the globe.

The implementation of a parcel tracking system with alerts and the use of express delivery services enabled responsive and efficient logistics. Cross-docking and a tailored solution from France optimized the flow of goods, reducing lead times and costs. This approach was crucial in the successful global expansion of the Group’s brands, demonstrating the effectiveness of adaptable logistics. Following the success in shipment management, Logfret also took on the task of managing seasonal returns from boutiques, involving tens of thousands of products biannually.

Results

Logfret’s customized approach has proven effective, with over 600 B2B parcels shipped internationally each week, and logistics finely tuned to meet growing demand. The Group’s international expansion has flourished, increasing from about 60 stores initially to 120 worldwide. This strategic partnership has not only facilitated their establishment in new markets but also laid the groundwork for continued global growth.
