The reshuffle of operators at Europe’s largest port continues apace with Qatar coming on board.

QTerminals Group and Qatar Navigation have acquired a majority stake in Kramer Holding, a family-run company that runs the Rotterdam Container Terminal. No price has been revealed for the acquisition.

“I’m very excited about this significant milestone in the journey of our family business which was started 60 years ago by my father. Today, we mark the beginning of a new chapter by joining forces with QTerminals. I believe that their expertise, resources, and industry insights will enable us to expand our horizons and explore untapped opportunities,” said the CEO of Kramer Group.

QTerminals is the second Middle Eastern concern to buy into Rotterdam’s sprawling container activities. Dubai-headquartered DP World has an interest in Rotterdam World Gateway.

Splash reported earlier this week that Taiwanese container giant Evergreen has bought a 20% stake in Rotterdam’s Euromax terminal.

My suppliers have less or zero experience with international logistics. Thus, not able to create proper documentation which leads to tremendous delay. Thanks to Logfret who provide training to all suppliers and work with us to build up a consolidation hub to reduce transportation costs significantly.
